Protect Your Baby From Allergies with 2 Simple Steps

With more and more talk about allergies these days its hard not to freak out about it, especially for first time parents. We hear about peanut allergies to egg allergies, or allergies caused by dust mites from the bedding. People have also reacted to severe cockroach severe infestations triggering asthma. Cockroaches don’t cause the asthma they only trigger existing conditions.

They say more kids are getting allergic to certain things now more than ever. Some say it is because of the mother’s nutrition when the baby is in the womb. I am not certain one way or the other all I know is it is so important to get the baby all sorts of nutrition in the womb, especially protein. It is suggested the mother gets approximately 100 grams of protein per day.

Okay, so when we are sleeping and we can’t stop sneezing or our eyes are watering like crazy what is going on? Well it is possible we are having an allergic reaction to something in our bedding or in our room somewhere. We all know one of the most common causes of allergies is unclean bedding.

Dust mites actually feed on you during the night causing a rash when you wake up. When you sleep you shed skin, you can’t see it, but the dust mites feed on it. Dust mites aren’t the only thing that can feed at night. During severe cockroach infestations the cockroaches will feebly feed on your baby’s fingernails and eyebrows.

Getting your rash and bites diagnosed by a doctor can sometimes be misleading. I have seen doctors think it is allergies when it is actually bed bug bites. On the other hand I have seen people with bed bugs get diagnosed with a psychotic drug because they didn’t take the time to identify what was causing the reaction.

Doing all you can to keep allergies at bay is all you can do. There are antifungal and antibacterial mattress covers and baby sleeping bags on the market made by allersafe that actually kill dust mites were they lay.

Along with the proper bedding it is important to get a good vacuum cleaner with a hepa filter. Vacuum your carpet and furniture on a weekly basis to make sure that the dust mite is not developing and thriving in your carpet. This is especially true if you have a little one that has a lot of tummy time.

Knowing that I am not a doctor and am no way giving medical advice, you still want to give your child the best you can offer. These are just a few tips to help protect your child from allergies and from developing allergic reactions to certain types of irritants.

Sometimes you need an organic baby sleeping bag if your baby has sensitive skin. Finding a cute baby sleeping bag pattern can be difficult at times that are still okay for sensitive skin.
